STOWAWAY BY: JOHN DAVID ANDERSON

Imagine you were kidnapped by these strange pirates, and you had to be separated from your Dad and your brother. Well, this is what happened to Leo, the main character of Stowaway by John David Anderson. Leo had to leave Earth because of many reasons, one reason he had to leave Earth was because his dad was a scientist. This made his dad very rare to everyone because he knew a lot about different species. When Leo came to outer space he was boarded across this ship named the Beagle. There are many reasons why Leo doesn’t like the Beagle, but here is one reason. Leo doesn’t like it at all because of the disgusting food on it and the lack of luxuriousness. One day he and his brother, Gareth were surprised when the Djarik made a surprise attack and stole all of their Ventasium, plus they kidnapped his Dad. Ventasium is this type of gas for spaceships that helps ships jump from place to place. The Djarik are this type of alien race that dominates a major area of outer space because of their next level firearms and spaceships. Another bad team that arrived just a few days after the Djarik did were these strange pirates named Katrina Korea, Bastian Black, Boo and Skits. They tried to look for many things left over like Ventasium, but there was nothing left because the Djarik took all of the Ventasium the Beagle had. When they were leaving Gareth told Leo to sneak into their ship so he could find help because their ship was gonna perish in a few days. He would do this when he secretly got off of the ship. Leo was really skeptical, but his brother made him do it, but he got caught and figured out that they weren’t as bad as he thought. When Leo figured out the pirates were not bad he found out that Bastian Black, the leader, wanted to fight the Djarik also.  Leo really wanted revenge on the Djarik so he agreed with them. Leo told them that he needed to find his dad and his brother after the Djarik attacked them. After he told the pirates this Kat said yes and she would find Leo’s family.
